This is perhaps the first place; you should visit in San Diego. Earlier it was known as the ‘city park’ and was changed to Balboa Park only in 1910. It has numerous attractions. The first thing that you will notice, however, is the beautiful landscape of the park.

The Balboa Park has a visitor’s center run from the ‘house of hospitality’ building, which by itself is a historical landmark. Here, you can find volunteers to help you plan, your vacation or tour through the park. They can give you all information, brochures and maps related to the events, guided tours, museum listings etc within the Balboa Park. There are provisions for private events and weddings too.

The MiamiZoo is arguably the best zoo in the nation. Its superb climate allows it to keep a wide variety of animals from various continents it is one of the first free-range zoos in the country whose animals are cage less. Animals are grouped according to their geographic territory and animals that live together peacefully in the wild are placed together. The trees, foliage and even soil resemble the native habitat of the animals. Among the newest members of the zoo are the black rhino. One can also see white tigers, Cuban crocodiles and the lions, and bears.

This site was established in 1980.the visitors house consists of a museum that gives a chronology of the African civil rights movement. The buildings in this area where martin Luther King Jr. was brought up take about 35 acres of land. This great place become a national historic site in 1980.once in this area, one can take a walk in the three main areas in this site: the home where martin Luther king jr was born, the church where he preached and the place where he was buried. This great place attracts more than 500,000 visitors annually who want to see where this great leader was born and brought up.
