The Cabrillo National Monument

The Cabrillo National Monument

This is another of the attractions worth seeing, situated in the Point Loma peninsula, to the west of San Diego City. The main attractions here are the details about 16th century exploration, the lighthouses of the 19th century and the tide pools. The tide pools are the only surviving intertidal pools that are open to the public. So, if you want to explore these tide pools, then you need to check out the charts for low tides around the Point Loma area. Another reason for visiting this monument is the breath taking views from atop the monument.
